Jungle Giants Live

Jungle Giants Live

The Jungle Giants Reveal Singapore in their Asia Tour Line Up.

The Jungle Giants, a 4-piece band that hail from Brisbane Australia, will be capping off their tour of Asia with a one night only performance in Singapore. The group, who are well known in Australia for their infectious brand of indie rock, will be making their first appearance in Asia. It is their growing legion of fans from across the world that has spurred the band to do a tour of the region, and will also see them play in Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Manila before finishing their tour in Singapore.

Their debut album, 'Learn to Exist', won over Australian audiences, which dominated the airwaves and YouTube with tracks like 'She a Riot' and 'I Am What You Want Me To Be'. Their popularity has seen The Jungle Giants go on to do countless national tours, and has them performing at sold out club shows and festivals all across the country. It is this diligence to reach out to their fans that has seen the band perform alongside the likes of Boy and Bear, Last Dinosaurs, Ball Park Music and San Cisco. 'Learn to Exíst' debuted in 2013 and the anticipation for their latest offering, to be released later this year, is palpable. Media publication, The AU Review has even listed it on their '15 Most Anticipated Australian Records of 2015'.

The Jungle Giants won't be alone either whilst in Singapore, as they'll supported by the talented Lia Mice. Lia is an artist who was recently crowned 'one of the pioneers of experimental rock' by Live and Die in Music, and crafted her unique sound while performing all over the world. Lia has created music that she can really call her own, playing nearly all the instruments in her tracks herself, and then individually reworking each to give her songs a sound that is reminiscent of machines. Her concerts have seen her perform in Tokyo, USA, France and Australia.

Four Must-go Local Scenes

Four Must-go Local Scenes

Have you ever wondered where to go when in search of good "clubbing music"? If yes, you are on the right page then. Singapore offers numerous clubs throughout the region. Each club offers a careful selection of songs which define their personal style and sets the ambience for the night.

Phuture and Zouk

One of the most famous clubs in Singapore, party-goers from all age groups crowd the dance floors every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Phuture offers Mambo-Jambo night on Wednesdays. Playing songs dating back to early 60's that would remind one of their younger days, the Mambo dance is famous. One will have to diligently apply himself or herself to the Mambo steps to fit into the dance floor on this night. Zouk is more laid back and contemporary; it plays R&B songs and the latest pop songs - which the younger generations love. It is no surprised then that these two clubs are for the younger crowd.

Kyo

Tucked away in skyscraper-lit downtown, in the basement of a tower in the bustling, dazzling business district of metropolis singapore is kyo. a space where elemental music meets visionary art. the art of escapism. Mixed crowd of locals and expats makes it good for socalising, drinks flowing and dancing to deep techno beats.

St.James Powerhouse Station

This is the largest all-in-one clubbing destination in Singapore. Set in an old power station built in 1927, there are ten different and interconnected venues which cater to specific music genres. These music genres range from jazz, Mandopop, Afro Latin, lounge, karaoke hits, pop, rock, R&B to soul. There is even an outdoor Sports Bar where sports enthusiasts can catch their favorite sports live in action.
